January 09,2002 - I just got wind of a get-together before William's Saturday concert, which has been added to the Calendar. Although no promises are being made, you never know who's going to show up. The information from Gin (the organizer) is as follows: "The dinner we've planned is going to be on Saturday, January 12th at 4pm. We planned it early so that there is no rush to order or eat and anyone can stop by at anytime, but if you'd like to be guaranteed a seat with us, then you should RSVP and get there on time. Generally, the restaurant won't even seat us until the entire party has arrived. It's going to be at the Sixth Ave. Bistro, one block from Copley Symphony Hall. Here is the info I have: Sixth Ave. Bistro 1165 6th Ave. San Diego, CA, 92101 (619) 239-4194 http://www.sixthavenuebistro.com/ We are going to need reservations for twenty people, so the sooner that you all RSVP, the better the chance they can accommodate us. RSVP by Wednesday, January 9, midnight at the latest!!!! (but please before then guys). That is the very last time I will be able to check my e-mail before we leave for San Diego (sorry this is short notice, but it's been a crazy holiday) and I would hate for one of you to miss out because I didn't get your e-mail in time. The prices are extremely reasonable, starting around $5.25 for a burger, fries, and a drink and going up to $14.95 for specials that they are serving that night. Just to clarify, we will be inviting the performers, but do not expect them to attend. This is a short engagement and I'm sure everyone will be tired from traveling and performing the night before. As always, we will be paying for their meal(s) so everyone should figure contributing a few dollars into their weekend finances.
